Resolve 14 database folder permissions

I've updated to Resolve 14.0.1 and everytime I try to turn on autosave i get an error message stating that the folder doesnt have write permissions.

I've checked disk permissions and I can't seem to figure out why it won't let allow it. I've tried having the database in the old location in the library/application support/blackmagic folder which didnt work either. I've tried locations on other drives still no luck.

I first noticed that settings weren't saving when I had to reset dual screen each time I opened Resolve and my layouts didn't save.

Any help would be much appreciated.
