Menu not visible in Resolve 14.0 and 14.0.1

Am I the only one with this problem?

I cannot see the menu items on the top menu, they are overlapped by the title bar.

The mouse pointer also seems to be offset by 15-20 pixels below the actual position of the menus
If I click with the mouse in the below position I can access the menu

My System Config

Tried reinstalling Visual C++ 2013 x64 and Visual C++ 2010 x86
Tried Installing the x86 and x64 versions of both components
Tried running in compatibility mode for windows 7 and windows 8

It works fine in fullscreen mode ( menu-> workspace -> fullscreen )

But if the top menu itself is not visible after first installation then how is a new user supposed to know how to do that or even know that the top menu exists?

I have the exact same issue in Resolve 15. I had used resolve 12.5 before, and that worked fine, and have gotten increasingly frustrated by the mouse pointer offset (I am only a very occasional user of video editing software, I guess I would have trashed it entirely if I had had to use it often) so that I was looking for a solution.
Good that you mentioned that there is a full screen mode, I wasn't even aware of that. It does work fine in full screen. But as you say, if you are unaware of the function, it is difficult indeed.
