I was having problems with previous versions of Resolve 14 where the video playback on the timeline was incredibly choppy. Now that I have upgraded to 14.0.1, I can't even play videos on the timeline.
Laptop:
Samsung NP700G7C-T01CA
8GB RAM
Windows 10
AMD Radeon HD 7870M GPU
Intel Core i7
I can play the video in the clip monitor (.mp4 and .mov and can't import .avi) but once I move it to the timeline, it crashes. I just get a windows error stating "Davinci Resolve has stopped working."
This is a gaming laptop. I used to have Resolve 12.5 and didn't have this issue. I don't think my laptop is so outdated that Resolve is unusable.
I am a noob so if someone could be specific as to how to adjust different settings and configurations, that would be great!
