Hi, We had a problem with the ARRI Alexa Plus 4/3 SXT during Resolve 12.5 to Resolve 14.
The camera recognized perfectly by media-info, Resolve 12.5 and other softs in 3800x1824 pixels and now recognized in 3800x1800 pixels in Resolve 14.
The bottom and the top of the image (24 lines in total) have been removed. These lines can not be found in Resolve 14.
Has anyone ever noticed this problem? Cordially Mike
Cordialement Michael
Hello, I forgot to mention that this is not RAW but ProRes 4444. I tried to go through "Clip Attributes" to change the Pixel Aspect Ratio but nothing works. Resolve 14 detects the ratio differently than Resolve 12 and removes useful lines top and bottom. Surprise on the ARRI manufacturer's doc:
Hi, Have you checked the "Import Media at Open Gate' selection in Arri Raw tab? We are not on RAW but on Prores and the "Import Media at Open Gate" does not change anything
We contacted Blackmagic several times by phone and by ticket. You say "As Resolve 14 respects the clean aperture metadata there is currently no way to disregard this. I have marked this as a feature request for the attention of the development team. " We do not ask for a feature request but correct your image ratio that clip padding 12px left right top bottom while it should crop padding 12px left right and 24px bottom. The 12px that you clip at the top removes useful pixels / filmed by the sensor of the ARRI camera. Please remove 24px at the bottom instead of leaving a black stripe and not deleting the useful image. We must finalize a prod in December and the Resolve 12 saw all the 1824px and the Resolve 14 with 1800px badly set prevents us from upgrading the app. Will you help me instead of saying, "It's like that !!!" (Yesterday's phone conversation). Thanks
