Problem with Conform page on Retina MBP

PostWed Apr 03, 2013 9:38 pm

Hi,

I am running Resolve Lite on retina MBP with the latest OSX (10.8.3). I tried reinstalling Resolve but that did not solve the problem which is that - the conform page seems not to size well enough to fit the screen like other pages do (I am attaching a screen shot). Also, the master timeline scales the video to a square and is really choppy when playing.... I am new to Resolve but am kinda computer literate and cannot figure this out by myself. There might be a problem with the graphics card, or maybe something to do with Resolve settings

Please help,

Serge

In the MAC system settings set the screen resolution to largest.

Dear Peter,

Thanks for reply. Changing the screen resolution just scales the view of the window, it does not fix the problem.
I guess that Resolve is optimized to work with retina when the resolution is set to "best for retina", all the other settings just enlarge or shrink the overall layout of the program (if the resolution is lower picture would leak out of screen, attached are the full screen shots of Media and conform page). All of the resolution options give same results.

Do you have a 15" retina? The 13" is not certified fir resolve.

Try selecting more space on the retina menu.
Then power down and restart the rMBP.

Sorry Peter, I just figured what you meant (im still getting used to Retina menu). I restarted it and your suggestion worked as far was the scaling of the conform page. However , the playback of the timeline in the master timeline window is still very choppy. Playing the same clip in the Source monitor i fine.

So, now that u have the full screen, you need to work through the manual to configure the system for the clips u have.
