Hello all,
I am sure that I am being not very bright on this, but I just can't figure it out..
Resolve 14, video monitoring to Decklink 4K Extreme 12G, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
What I am trying to do:
1) I have some HD 1920x1080p25 clips, on an HD timeline
2) the monitor I have is UHD 3840x2160, connected via HDMI to the Decklink 4K Extreme 12G
3) I want to see the timeline at 1:1 size on the monitor, i.e. a 1920x1080 window on the UHD monitor.
4) In Project Settings:
Image Scaling: Output Scaling: checked 'Match Timeline settings' so should be outputting HD 1920x1080
(also tried un-checking this with set to HD 1920x1080 - makes no difference)
Master Settings, Video Monitoring, Video format set as below ..
~~~~~
Problem:
a) if I set the Video Monitoring - Video format output to UHD 2160p then the Decklink scales up the timeline HD output to UHD
(Decklink output resolution set via: Project Settings, Master Settings, Video Monitoring, Video format set to UHD 2160p)
b) if I set the Decklink output resolution to HD then instead the monitor scales up the HD to fill the monitor [not what I want it to do but there is no way to change this on the monitor].
~~~~~
So my question is:
- can I set the Decklink to output UHD
- but get the timeline displaying 1:1 at HD in a window
and if so how?
Thanks, and apologies again if this is obvious
Tom
