I am a complete novice and have only used DaVinci Resolve a couple times and have a limited grasp on the ins and out of video editing. Around a year ago I watched a great many tutorials on it and did a somewhat complicated project (by my standards) and thought this one would be a shoe-in. Everything seems to look good until I render the video and the colors are different than they should be.
I want to make a 7 second 'video' of two images being Blur Dissolved from one to the next. That is all. I want it to be a 650x366px video and I want to convert that down to an audio-less gifv. The second image has a distinct red. When I render it at 1920x1080 the final image is mostly the same color red but loses a little pigment. When I render it to the size I want 650x366 it makes it practically orange or pink.
Any hints on where I'm losing my color? Here's some files, notes, hex colors, etc.
- The desired color of red and that of the original image is #D54646
- Within DaVinci resolve it's #d23b3c
- When rendered at 1920x1080 it's now #db504f
- When rendered at 650 x336 it becomes #e65f4f
Here's a gallery with the original files and the various stages of red degradation and a screen shot of my timeline to show how freakishly simple this project ought to be.

Couple other notes:
- I have no idea if the first image is keeping its colors. It's basically black and white and I didn't bother to check since it looks fine
- I tried a few different settings between Custom rendering, .mov, .mp4, and then also YouTube 720. Things continued to be messed up when I changed various things but I didn't map it all out. Nothing was ever 'right'.
- I deleted the one default node on the color page and didn't touch it otherwise.
- The red image originated from an SVG file and was converted using Gimp. Maybe I didn't convert it correctly and it doesn't show up until later. The png has the original color though.
- I plan on using this tool for the gifv conversion. https://imgur.com/vidgif
- I'll probably make the second image display longer once I figure out how to make it the right color.
I have a debug zip file I can post, but I don't know if there's anything in there I don't want public. I'm using a MacBook Pro 2012 Retina, DaVinci Resolve 14 Free version. I render at a slow speed so it doesn't burn up.
This isn't even all that important but it's important to me now since surely I can get an image to display the same color that it is.
Thanks
