Recording in Fairlight standalone without video?

PostMon Nov 20, 2017 5:48 am

I was wondering if it is possible to record audio in Fairlight without having any video? So to record audio only projects with Fairlight?

When I have no video stream added in my project, then go to Fairlight and try to add a track, it doesn't let me. Nothing happens. No track appears but also no error message is displayed or any other hint as to what its not working.

When I add a video to my timeline first, then try to add a track in Fairlight, a new track appears as expected.

I cannot find any info on this anywhere online but was under the impression Fairlight could be used as a standalone audio editor like Audition or other editors?

Bumping this up one more time. Anybody has tried this as a standalone recording tool?
