I've found when working with ACES in Resolve 14, that you need to disable Use S-curve for contrast or the image degrades really quickly and shows black distortion in low light areas of FS7 images when using the Contrast or Pivot tool in the Primary Palette. This was visible in both Rec709 and Rec2020. Issues didn't happen with RED footage. So not sure if it has to do with the ACES IDT.
