Use Comma and Period to Insert/Overwrite Clips

PostWed Dec 06, 2017 7:02 pm

I'm trying to map the comma and period keys to be insert and overwrite, as they are in Premiere.

If I manually, assign comma and period, they show up as shortcuts in the Edit=>Overwrite Action menu, but the comma and period keys themselves don't have any effect when I type them on the keyboard.

Is there any way to use comma and period to insert/overwrite clips from the source viewer to the timeline?

The comma and period keys are usually mapped to frame trim +/-. It's possible you did not remove those mappings and have 2 different functions mapped to the keys.

Removing the default key assignments solved the issue. Thanks!
