Bypass effect face refinement

PostSat Dec 09, 2017 2:02 pm

Is there a way, to bypass the "face refinement" effect? When I turn it off, or disable the node with the effect, Resolve is still calculating and the playback performance is very bad....

never used it, but that sounds like a bug. If I bypass any ofx node, it is no longer calculated.

You could make a new version, and delete the node from the new version. Then you will still have the other version if you want to turn it back on at the end before output...but I would assume you should simply be able to disable it.

...to use version as a workaround is a good idea...thanks!
The Face Refinement tool is great for interviews...saves a lot of time!

Andreas, I'm not seeing this. When I disable a node with Face Refinement, CPU and GPU usage goes down to level it would be at with the effect not applied.

..yes...I have just tried to use versions, and they dont make a difference. Once calculated (analysed), the face refinement slows down the playback...I have a multicam edit. The problem is not noticeable on normal timelines - but it is there and should be solved....
