Audio Interface + DeckLink Card for DaVinci Resolve

PostSat Dec 09, 2017 5:23 pm

Hi guys,

I am looking to buy an audio interface that I can use on my computer to control the levels and to be able to record audio on the computer whenever I need. I am also looking to get a DeckLink to be able to use Resolve on Linux, since this is the only way to get the audio.

The audio interface I am considering is the Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2nd Gen. As for the DeckLink, I would like to use the Mini Monitor 4K.

What I understand from a previous question is that, to get audio from the DeckLink, I will need to get one of the Mini Converters (either SDI to HDMI or SDI to Audio depending on what I need).

What I am confused about is how to add the audio interface to the equation here, so I am still able to control the levels and record using it.

Does anybody know how to do that?
System specs:

Fusion Studio version: 9.0.2
OS: CentOS 7
CPU: Intel i7-4790k 4GHz Quad-Core

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 1080 Ti 11GB

I use a Presonus Monitoring Station to route my Audio.

Doesn't take up too much real estate on my desk and lets me select up to 3 (4 with SPDIF) source to my studio monitors.
