I seem to be running into some FPS issues.
I shot some 1080p 60FPS shots and I put em in the media tab.
The first attempt on my project, the timeline was set to 24FPS. I'm not sure if there's a special setting to interpret the footage, but I dragged and dropped the footage to the timeline and during playback the footage seemed a lot more choppy than 24FPS should be(but maybe it's just my eyes too used to 60?). Is there a special way to interpret the footage?*
*to be clear, I want my 60fps footage to play normal speed at 24FPS, but have the ability to slow it down smoothly.
If I slowing down the footage down to 50% makes it smoother. Going down to 25% and optical flow works makes it pretty smooth as well. Strangely making the footage go down to 50% and optical flow creates issues with the FPS. Instead of a solid 24 during playback, it goes to around ~19-21.
Seeing this issue, I decided to work around it. I'll just edit the footage on a 60fps timeline. However when I do that and playback my 60fps footage, on the top left I get around ~39-41FPS.
Any suggestions on what I could be doing wrong?
Computer Specs:
Win 10 Home
16GB DDR4 RAM
i7-7700k 4.2GHz
Nvidia 1060 6GB
And I went to the settings and made sure I allowed the most memory I could for Resolve.
Thanks!
