Create New Clip Based on Clip in Timeline?

PostWed Dec 13, 2017 1:15 am

I remember there was a way to do this, but for the life of me I can't remember how. And I can't find it in the manual.

Essentially, there was (I presume still is) a way to select a clip in the timeline and create a new media pool clip based on that clip. I had used this for situation where I had a bunch of stills that needed to be rotated 90 degrees. I rotated them in a timeline and then did something like an Alt drag (not actually the command) to create in the Media Pool new rotated versions of the clips.

Helping to jog my memory is much appreciated, lol!

It should be drag only.
Else, you may double-click the TL clip to open it in the viewer, put in and out points and right click the jog bar tu create a subclip
