Many thanks for the update, I hope it solves most of the issues so far.

However can someone at BMD please inform me what it is that governs the playout via a 5:1 speaker system using this panel;

as sometimes you can only assign 2 channels and then suddenly all 6?

Also even if all 6 are assigned playout is only stereo!

Where can I find proper information about how to use this in the handbook?

It depends on how many audio output channels you have. If you have a Decklink card, you should see all 16 outputs. If you have a stereo output, you will see only 2. Resolve uses the default output sound card.

Right so if I am using the 5:1 sound card to six speakers then there shouldn't be any issue?

At what stage does DR check to see which output is being used? Will for example, switching to the headphone output on the PC cause it to switch to stereo?

It seems that DR checks the speaker setting on startup. Please add a 'refresh' button to the screen below to re-read the PC's speaker settings so you don't have to exit and restart every time you want to switch between stereo and 5:1

Create a 5.1 (Main) and a Stereo (Set 2) Monitor Set, and switch between them selecting the appropriate source in the Control Room.

No need for a refresh button.
