v14.2 missing image in edit viewers

I've installed DaVinci Resolve v14.2 and noticed that the image viewers on the media and edit pages are not showing any images. The image viewer windows in the color, Fairlight and deliver pages work fine.
My monitoring out is also ok. Just the image viewers in the edit and media pages show only black.

I re-installed v14.1.1 and they work there still.

Anyone else run across this bug?

Same problem here (OSX 10.12.3).
I did a 'reset UI Layout' and now all Edit and Media viewers are working as expected.

Thanks Marcel! That worked... initially. Then I configured the UI to my liking which included turning on the scopes and putting that window in my second monitor. But then the edit viewers went black again! So I turned off the scopes and the viewers became available again. So, in edit and deliver, if you want to see the image viewers remember to turn off the scopes. Now I don't know if this is a bug or a "feature".

I did not notice at first but you are right, I also have to disable the scopes in Media and Edit pages to get an image in a viewer. But Deliver page is fine.

Hi, I have tried disabling scopes and resetting UI but still am unable to view any footage or still images on the media page, has anyone got any suggestions?
If I disable the scopes on edit page then I can view footage

I usually have my system setup dual monitor, and that irs when even if I turn off the scopes I still cant monitor any footage or stills on the media page.
If I change my layout to single monitor and turn off scopes then I can view footage.
This has got to be a bug.

This is a bug/deficiency that really makes me question what is going on? How could this possibly pass any possible QC??

I've got the same issue with 14.2 - Thanks for the advice here. I can only see the Edit Page viewer if I turn off the scopes (which I normally keep turned on and dragged over to a small second display).

No problem with the scopes floating window on the Edit page in dual monitor mode, but it is GPU resource hungry and will slow playback. But I blame my underpowered GPU for this. Always had the scopes displayed at the bottom of the Media page with no problems.

Odd that the issue seems inconsistent. Sometimes, it works and sometimes it doesn't...

just thought i'd let you know I have reported this to BM in Australia and sent them a project and files, they are on break until Thursday 4th, so hopefully will hear more then.

Still haven't heard back from BMD.
Which is a bit dissapointing as it seems from this forum there are quite a few with this problem, and if you are running dual monitor setup the media page is virtually unusable.

I have found the cause for this problem!
(well in my case anyway)
This fault only happens if, in Project Settings i have my Video Monitoring, Video bit depth set to 10 bit, change to 8 bit and no problems.
I hope this helps those with this problem and i hope BMD can fix

Please to report I now get real time 10bit 4K 25p playback in both Media and Edit pages with GUI display and Scopes up full screen on a third monitor. That's a first! (not so with Color which is to be expected. Scopes off = OK)
