Recording does not work

I tried to record a test sound from a mic via Fairlight on a Mac and I used a Zoom F8 as audio interface but it didn't work at all.

Recording worked fine with Premiere and Logic Pro X but not on Resolve. I've selected the right inputs and outputs, I've armed the track, I've set the capture path and used different input settings and paths but nothing works. It simply doesn't record anything, the red bar doesn't appear.

I also tried recording on PC, this time I plugged in a Rode VideoMic directly to PC's own input, but again, nothing.

i think you need also a video input signal for audio recording only

Our experience with 14.2 on a workstation that records sound very correctly in other applications has been a complete inability of Resolve Fairlight to recognize the audio input. No response at all. Not yet ready for prime time?

Actually, should have noted that the Fairlight page in 14.2.1 is completely inoperative for us. Could this be due to running Resolve on Win7 ???

The problem seems to have corrected itself. It just started working out of the blue, without updating Resolve or anything.
