Choppie footage

PostMon Jan 22, 2018 6:15 pm

Good day.

I am trying out Davinci Resolve moving from Premiere Pro

Recording ProRes with Blackmagic Hyperdesk Studio

When importing the footage. The playback is very choppie. I believe the frames indicater is constantly red

Any suggestions

(not sure how to upload a short video clip)

Not sure what you mean by which kind of material.

But it is a recording of our church service?

Hi,
What is the resolution of the source?
MediaInfo?
Is the issue as soon as reading from the media pool before import or from another tab?
what cache?

Good day.

I am not sure what is the video codec for the .mov. Tried running mediainfo program to identify. But all it says is that it is Apple quicktime original apple specifications

The media is 720p 50mb

I use my local HDD drive for cache. But even changing it to the SSD it still is choppie.

When i started the project i could view the clips in source panel. It took about 5 seconds before running smoothly

But after importing to bin. Not even the source wants to play normal.

Hi,
Is it possible to have a small extract of the source clip?

Uh ...
It's not a source clip, it's a screenshot and unusable. Sorry.
This is the source clip that is interesting.

my bad, I misunderstood you

Can you perhaps guide me how I should go about that as I am not sure how to do this. My Premiere does not want to match the quicktime with the output
