Fairlight VST Effects don't affect waveform preview?

Hey all,

Just getting started here using Resolve and Fairlight for some documentary-type filmmaking. I've found the integration of various VST effects to be simple, but I'm disappointed that using an effect (like a compressor, for example) doesn't appear to modify the waveform graph. Is there a setting or a work-around I'm missing, so I can see the effect of my VSTs on the waveform graph? I haven't been able to find anything on the web.

Cheers,
Drake

The VSTs act in realtime, as if you had the equivalent hardware patched into an insert on your mixing board. The waveform is showing you a graphical representation of what is recorded on tape, therefore you won't see the "effect" of your effects on it.

Why should it matter? You should be editing and mixing audio with your ears and not your eyes anyway.
