A little help for grayed out options

PostSun Feb 11, 2018 8:06 pm

I'm using Resolve 14.3 and have a little problem with "Show viewer overlay" option from "View" drop down menu. It is checked and grayed out. Beside it is checked, this overlay (with options) doesn't appear in the source view monitor when I try to pull down clip to timeline. I looked through settings, searched user manual, but still have no clue why it is checked as enabled but not working and grayed out so I can't control it.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Go up a few menu items above Show Viewer Overlay, open the "Safe Area" option and turn it on. You'll need to select what you want to display (or not), which can only be done one at a time.

That viewer overlay option is valid for the color page viewer and when you are on the color page it's no greyed out.

Thank you Peter! But I have a problem getting this option. When I click and drag this overlay window doesn't appear.

Thank you for your time and assistance, but I solve this problem by reinstalling the whole system.
