Inconsistently at first, then consistently, there is a huge degradation in the audio quality of the videos I'm editing. Static, pops, hiss, making the video completely unusable.
I've triple-checked that the timeline and playback framerate match the framerate of the video (30FPS).
I'm using videos from OBS recording in mov format and the original videos play absolutely fine. I have tried creating new projects and making sure that I save when I quit the project.
I'm using Davinci Resolve 14.3.0.014. A friend has checked using Premiere and the video is fine there.
I have also tried to use mp4 files. What's worse is that with some smaller mp4/mov files, the audio is fine, but there is no discernible difference between the files other than size.
I can't seem to find any advice for this, and I'm really close to giving up on Resolve, considering I have work to do and I can't fix this.
Computer has
Windows 10 64bit
24GB Ram
1.6 TB of free space
is completely up to date.
Any advice? This is all the information I can think to give.
