Davinci Resolve 14.3.0.14 hanging

I am getting hangs / freezes using Resolve, where my only recourse is to reboot the PC to recover (the GUI freezes up, the Decklink output becomes a solid gray or black on my grading monitor). Other programs continue working when this happens.

The hangs happen frequently, even if just playing video or scrolling around the Edit page or making minor timeline changes, and also have happened while using the tracker or other tools on the color page. (I have also seen full on crashes when syncing audio by waveform on the Media page, although perhaps that is a different problem than these hangs).

I am editing and grading BMCC CinemaDNG 2.5k RAW files, with WAV audio, nothing fancy.

I earlier had the Decklink card tested as OK by the factory. I had once theorized that this problem could have something to do with my configuration (2x 1080ti GPUs, 1 of which was on a riser using the 2nd x16 PCI slot). However currently that GPU is in the 3rd x8 slot and it still occurs, and I even get these hangs when I have only 1 of the GPUs installed. So I no longer believe it is related to video hardware.

Thank you but that did not help: although my symptoms are different, I tried the earlier graphics driver version recommended in that thread. DaVinci Resolve still froze up within ~45 seconds just playing my timeline, again turned the Decklink output to a gray screen and needed to reboot to recover.
