Free Davinci Resolve problems

I downloaded the free version of davinci resolve a ton of times, and it hasnt worked. I still need a activation key, even though i got the free version. All the tutorials i found online havnt helped, as they mentioned nothing about a activation key when installing free davinci resolve. I get no option for trial or demo.
