VST window size bug

PostSat Mar 03, 2018 10:44 am

Hi, I have very annoying bug in Resolve. Many VST-plugins does not work because window size is too small. I cant resize it and many controls does not show up to the inspector. Is there any workaround to this?

I found a solution, at least for Reaplugs. You can edit the plug-ins. Do it at your own risk.

I have opened the .dll files with the tool Resource Hacker and deleted the following line from the source code:

STYLE DS_CONTROL | WS_CHILD

Now the plug-in opens in two separate windows, see screenshot. It is not an elegant solution but it works.

Awesome! The only way I can get the plugin window to close after is by switching out of the Fairlight page. Worth it to be able to use ReaFIR for noise reduction though.

This is probably because they are designed to work in Reaper. No problem with native or third party VSTs though.
