Colour correcting sunlight

I am completely new to da Vinci resolve and barely know the basics. I have to use a few scenes shot with way too much sunlight on someones face. Its a close up, with it being too bright with too many shadows. With almost all the rest of the footage being in the shade it looks totally wrong. Is there anything at all that can be done in colour correction that will make it look any better? I don't know how to colour correct at all so any answers treating me like a total beginner would be greatly appreciated. I really need help as soon as possible as I have to have this finished in a very short amount of time. Thanks!
