Point Tracker Issue

Hi all,
This is my first post. Ive been using DaVinci Resolve for a 3-4 years now. Primarily for color and as a NLE.
I am currently trying to take an image to replace over a moving persons head (Its silly I know). However, it is what the project calls for. My issue is that I am not getting a 1:1 movement from the Tracking Point and the image. Some times there is a massive difference and I have no idea why its drifting off to the side.
My process so far is the same as if I were dealing with moving text. My steps so far are as follows
1- Import the image to the timeline and match the duration of the clip I am masking
2- Select classic stabilizer on the clip I am tracking the movement from
3- Reduce the "Strong" to -100
4- Select Point Tracker and place it on the persons head
5- Track the clip
6- Select "Copy Track Data"
7- Go to the mask image, select classic stabilizer and "Paste Track Data'
8- Hit stabilize
Usually this works. I'm hoping there is a stupid little setting that I've overlooked.
I'm running version 14.3 on my Mac
Thank you
Tom
