audio wave forms

I record audio using my phone (amateur, i know) but when i import it to resolve, i get no wave forms, i can hear the audio just fine, but doing subtitles without wave forms is harder than i thought it would be, I've tried going into my preferences, setting a cache path or whatever, to no avail , please help me black magic forum! You're my only hope!

In DaVinci preferences, set your first storage drive to a permanent drive. Save. Restart. Now as you have changed the cache, set that to the same drive.
