Syncing & Multi Clip Problems

PostThu Mar 08, 2018 4:18 pm

HI,

I am working with Resolve 14 and I'm having Syncing Issues.

I am working with 2 cameras and an External Audio Source (Tascam H4N) See 1st Picture.

I put them in the Media Pool and I try and sync them. When I put the clip on the timeline, I I put it in multicam mode, it is not synced. In fact the Tascam H4N is not under the camera audio like it's supposed to be. See Picture 2. Also the Tascam went to Video Channel 3 for some reason.

I usually use Pluralize with Premiere Pro CC and it works great. What am I doing wrong when I am syncing it in Resolve and How can I use Pluralize in Resolve?

Thanks.

What you're seeing is normal.

I recommend syncing only the two cameras. Manually add and sync the Zoom audio under the Multicam clip in the timeline.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

HI,

Thanks.

I did what you said I should do.

I synced up the 2 cameras without the Zoom Audio. I synced up fine. I then made that a Multiclip and it opened in a timeline. Then I found the spot on the Zoom Audio and added that on Audio 3 on the timeline.

Can I san them again with the Zoom audio or just leave it on Track 3 and start cutting the clips up in multicam mode?

Did I put the Zoom mic in the right place?

Thanks in advance

Adam, I think that what you write "pluralize" is actually "Plural Eyes", isn't it ? ;)
So if you already own it, just throw your clips AND the tascam one in PE, export an XML, import this latter in Resolve and THEN make your multicam file.
If you find it tricky to turn your imported XML stacked tracks into a multicam, feel free to report it here...

Leave the Zoom on A3 and edit away.

That You Sam,

Yes it is Plural Eyes, sorry about that.

I have synced it up in Plural Eyes, then I imported the XML into Resolve.

Of course it is shown as a Timeline with everything Synced.

The only problem I am having is turning my XML Stacked tracks into a Multicam Clip that I can use to edit with.

How can I turn my XML Stacked tracks into a Multicam Clip?

I hope you can tell me how to do that.

Thanks in advance
