Keyboard mapping issues

PostFri Mar 16, 2018 3:59 pm

Hello,
I'm used to the AVID shortcuts and have some problems assign the "next Clip/Edit" shortcut -> "S". When I click the command in the playback-menu "Next Clip/Edit S" it works. But not when I push the key "S" on the keyboard. In the Keyboard mapping list there is a yellow !-sign telling me, that "S" is also assigned to "editToggleSlipSlipe" but I cannot find this in the list.
What can I do?

Then I wanna assign (4 adjacent keys on German Keyboard):
m = multiple frames back
, = one frame back
. = one frame forward
- = multiple frames forward
I have trouble with "-" multiple frames forward. Sometimes it works, sometime I'm entering go to TC mode. Cannot make out why.

Thanks for any help

S is one of those hard-coded shortcuts you can't really change. Same with the = and - keys.

You'll have to get used to different shortcuts. (And really, S is kind of weird for that one. The default UP/DOWN arrows make a lot more sense.)
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

fwiw,
I mapped a command set for Color Page only, in order to convert some of the default shortcuts to single press shortcuts. Anyway, I was able to map the "s" key to Add New Serial Node. Don't know why you can map the s key in the color tab, but not on the edit tab.

On the Edit page, it's hard coded to one specific shortcut.

What happens if you start with the Avid Media Composer keyboard shortcuts built in to Resolve?
