Power Window Interpolation Bug?

PostSun Mar 18, 2018 12:40 pm

Hi,

maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I have the issue that interpolated power windows do not contain the area affected by grading. The window position and graded area seem one frame off.

Step 3 - Interpolation Issue

To reproduce,
- in Color Page create strong grade
- add Circular Window on left side of frame -> grade is exactly contained by window
- go to tracker window, switch from clip to frame mode, add keyframe
- use cursor key to move 5 frames forward
- position window to right side of frame, another keyframe is created, grade is still contained by window
-> now use cursor keys to navigate between 1st and 5th frame
-> the circular window and color grade seem offset by 1 frame

Is this intended behaviour? I'd like to match window and grade exactly. Discovered this after a manual rotoscope. Is this influenced by some prjoject setting?

Thank you in advance!

Regards,
Stefan

I'm using Davinci Resolve 14.3.0.014 on Windows 10.

I realize this is an old post, but I'm having the same issue. Did you ever find a solution? I'm on version 16.

I have seen this problem when you've set Clip Attribute sizing to a different value than normal, or when you have a Timeline sizing change that makes a significant change (especially horizontally). This can sometimes be an issue when unsqueezing anamorphic scope shots, for example. If you go back to normal, the windows will be correct and tracking will work fine.

I'm still on 15.3.1 but have not seen this "offset window" problem in a long time, at least with normal clips.
