Exporting to DCP. Full or Video?

PostWed Mar 21, 2018 4:13 am

Hey I'm having little export issues. The video looks great in davinci but on export it's very different.

If I export to VIDEO it looks closest but slightly desaturated.

If I export to FULL it's almost as if it's too contrasty and the blacks are too black.

I have to send off my doc for a DCP and not sure what to do, any advice?

Set your export to Auto, but it will likely export as Video range. You don't want to use Full typically.

Typically, a DCP creator can handle everything.
I check incoming Masters on my scopes sothat I know. If it's not clear, I'll ask the client.

So the answer depends on the format you are using.
Auto is save and I can't remember the need to overwrite.

Contact your DCP creator beforehand!
