Resolve 14.3 crashing on 'Looking for Control Surface'

PostWed Mar 21, 2018 6:10 pm

I have a MacBook Pro 15”, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB with 16GB RAM, under MacOSX 10.12.6.

I tried upgrading Resolve from 12.5 to 14.3. I ran the 14.3 installer. Once I upgraded 14.3 Resolve stops running when the splash screen says 'Looking for Control Surface' - I do not have a control surface.

I tried uninstalling 14.3 using the DaVinci Uninstall Resolve app. Then tried reinstalling it. Still having the same issue. Can anyone give me tips to help troubleshoot this?

I also don’t see CaptureLogs in the Application Support section of the Library, so as of now I can’t generate logs to check the issue.

Can anyone help?

Unless you have Apple App Store Resolve, CaptureLogs is in /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve.

Make sure you are not in /Users/Library.
