Resolve 14 Crashing on "Create new timeline"
Posted: Thu Mar 22, 2018 4:34 pm
I've been working on a project for two weeks.
In this project, I have several timelines and a good 350GB (approximately) worth of footage in both UHD and 1080p resolutions in H.264 codec Recorded with 3x Sony a6300 mirrorless cameras. I also have a few 4k DCI shots from my DJI Phantom 4 Pro Drone (also h264).
As I was finishing the edit today, I tried to open a 2,5 hour long timeline to copy some shots. And then Resolve Crashed.
I opened again and after fiddling around I found that it crashes when I try to open any long timeline and when I try to Create a new timeline. But oddly enough if I drag and drop the timeline to my source monitor it opens and plays back perfectly!
What is strange is that up until now Resolve was working perfectly and I was cutting on it 14hrs a day over the past 6 months!
Long story short, I red the other threads about Resolve Crashing and tried the "increase page file" and "Disable audio plugins" solutions and none of these worked.
My Specs are:
Windows 10 Pro
32 GB Ram
i7-7700K @ 4.2 GHz
GTX 960 3GB
SSD 256 as my system drive, External USB3.0 2TB for my footage
Resolve 14.3.0.014 (not Studio)
Here you'll find the Resolve logs
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XIjk-6 ... sp=sharing
If anyone has a solution I would appreciate it!
Thanks,
George
