New DaVinci Resolve User - Loop A Clip down the timeline??

PostFri Mar 23, 2018 10:17 pm

Hi,

I'm moving over to Resolve at a new job for some light video editing, I come from a Adobe Premier and Sony Vegas background - Loving it so far, bar one thing... How do I repeat a clip?!

I have a 3 second animated logo, I want to put it in the top right corner of the video.

I can resize, crop it, get it in the right location, key it so it's transparent, all works fine!

How do I set the clip to repeat itself? Can I do this, or it is a case of copy and paste it down the timeline? (for a 1hour video, that's a lot of copies)

I get the feeling I'm missing something really simple.

Thank you for taking the time to help,
Nathan

Copy and paste down the timeline. I usually paste 10 to 20 copies and then copy the group of clips to paste 10 to 20 at a time to speed things up a bit.

Or, import that as matte
In thee tineline reveal it abd layer it
Switch from matte to image (connect the green instead of the triangles)
It will be looped
