Viewer screen goes black

Beginner in Resolve here. When I try to add some text or a clip over other clip (like a window in a corner), the viewer screen goes pitch black. If I render the video, everything goes just fine. Only the viewer doesn't work. I need to subtitle some videos and it's being hard to check the timing without the viewer.
