Hi there,

I have just had a play with DaVinci Resolve Free version. I was quite impressed, so much so that I have ordered an activation code for the Studio version. I would just like to know a few things that will become relevant once I receive the code: -

1) Do I have to install the Studio version in order to enter the activation code; I assume yes.
2) Given 'yes' to question 1, will the Studio version software totally overwrite the previously installed Free installation, or should I uninstall the Free version first?
3) Will any projects I create using the Free version carry over to the Studio version once installed?

yes, you need the studio version. un install the free version if you are on windows, for mac, just install the studio and it will overwrite the free. In each case, the project database is not uninstalled so the assuming the new version is a more recent build, it will read the database. e.g. you cant install v14 and expect it to read v15 database.
