How to extend clip keyframes to end of transition?

Is it possible to extend keyframes on a clip past the end of the clip so that the zoom/position changes don't stop halfway through a dissolve transition?

Or is my only option moving the clip to a new track and use the opacity controls to manually create a cross dissolve?
