[Request] OFX keyframe & spline editor

Currently, it's not possible to see keyframes or splines for OpenFX parameters.
That's a big no-go.
In the timeline you can only see the position and splines of clip attributes, but not of OpenFX.
Just imagine a monster of a spline editor like in Fusion! That would be so cool! Fusion's spline editor is a beast! In comparison AE is a joke. With that thing you could blow any other NLE out of the water.
Could it be so hard to "copy" the keyframe and spline editors from the "Fusion" to the "Edit" page? I mean...they are basically already there, just on the wrong page.

I thought about it a bit more.
The Keyframe and Spline Editors that the "Edit" page have are okay, but by far not the best.
The thing is: In my opinion you already have the best keyframe and spline editors in Resolve: On the Fusion page! Especially Fusion's Spline Editor is a beast!
I would love to see Fusion's keyframe and spline editors in the resolve "Edit" page.
In the edit page, you could then switch between the "Timeline", "Keyframe", and "Spline" view.

What we currently have:

Don't tell me, you don't love to see that in Resolve!

And think about all the options of the Fusion Spline Editor:
- Time Stretching
- Shape Box
- Click Append / Insert and Modify / Modify Only
- Set Key Equal To...
- Smooth Points
- Ease
-Step In, Step Out
- Reverse
- Loop, Relative, Ping-Pong
- Time Offset
- Time Scaling
- Value Offset
- Value Scaling
- Scale To Fit, Scale To Rectangle
- Shape Box
- and more!

Now think about all the options of the Fusion Keyframe Editor:
- Time Stretching
- Time Offset
- Time Scaling
- Scale To Fit, Scale To Rectangle
- Copy Value, Copy Points
- Step In, Step Out
- Reverse
- Keyframe spreadsheet

Now that you have integrated Fusion into Resolve, all these features are already there!
"Just" get them to the "Edit" page! There's no other NLE that would be close to that power of editing and timing Keyframes!
Use the power Fusion gives us! Spread it across the program!

In the current spline editor on the "Edit" page, you cannot see the keyframes of multiple splines at once.
You can see multiple splines, but only the keyframes of the selected spline.

Spline Editor:
You could basically already use the way the Fusion spline editor works:
On the Edit page: Select a clip in the timeline select the "Spline" tab and you get the view I presented to you above.

Keyframe Editor:
For the Keyframe Editor, you would show the different clips, they way they are laid out on the timeline, and below each clip the names and keyframes of the animated parameters.

Alternative:
To make the implementation easier, you could keep the current way the "Edit" timeline presents the keyframes, and only replace the spline view.
Add Fusion's editing features to the keyframes, and add the above proposed spline view.

I know this is probably a big feature request, but I think it's impact would be gigantic! And you wouldn't have to implement all these features from scratch. Because some of the stuff is already there and coded, on the Fusion page.

I just wanted to get that out of my mind.

I suggest to replace thicks with diamonds, we aren’t watchmakers.

+1 This is a good idea. I'm a long time blender user, and having a good spline editor is really advantageous. I would love it if we could have fusions spline edit power in the edit view. Having diamonds as keyframes is also a good idea. :)

I would also like to add having the ability to manipulate keyframes on OpenFX effects within the edit page. If I am working on a collaborative project, where I am the editor on the edit page, and I have a colorist working on the color page, I need to be able to modify keyframes of effects in the edit page, and not affect the colorist's node tree. Is there a reason OpenFX effects are not keyframe-able in the edit page?

Mine are. Could it be that your OFX keyframes are cut off on the right?

But I have to admit that it still crashes with quite a few OFX plug-ins and there are no splines.

A big spline editor for all parameters is essential for precise animating.

You are correct, in Resolve 15 Beta this is true, the system I had was running 14, and this was not the case. I have since updated to Resolve 15 Beta. A spline editor would be very nice though in the edit page!

also text+ needs curve editing in fusion page. We add keyframes in edit page and tweak curves in the fusion one.
Crazy...

Just started in DaVinci and already thinking about giving up on it. If it's missing such basic functionality like this then who knows what else it's missing...

It's missing a whole shopping cart of things. It also has a whole supermarket of features. At the breakneck pace of development why wouldn't it be missing things? Yes the spline editor in the edit page sucks. I think they were inspired by FCPX, in that one. It still can't do positioning except with linear keyframes....a gaping hole for motion graphics.

As for the Fusion Page, I thought I'd take a 4k clip + a 5k X 8k psd into fusion for a little motion graphics/ keyframe love but I soon found it unresponsive and crashing. Furthermore it's not great for MG. A quick trip back to Premiere Pro and no problem. I didn't even have to take it to Ae.

Resolve's main strength is still the Color Page. It wins that one hands down. The other pages should be looked upon as works in process...and we have to be fluent with other software when we fall into their holes.

Yes please! Animating without access to keyframes is a show stopper :-(

I can't believe that this was requested in May 2018 and here we are almost a year later and this STILL isn't added in even the simplest way!?!

+1 for this.
The key framing from fusion needs to be implemented in the edit page.

Still (16.1b3) a beefy keyframe/spline-editor is the most missing feature in DR...
And by the way: adding motion-blur to animated objects would also be nice...

+1. They should unify the way splines and keyframes work across fusion, color, and edit pages. Fusion is the best, but still far from perfect. Has a lot of redraw issues, for one.

Can anyone else confirm that this is working for them? I'm using Davinci 18.6.6 Build 7 on Mac, and this is not working for me. I can add keyframes, but they don't show up in the editor panel, or anywhere else that I can find.
