Finding Source Gamma for Color Matching

PostWed May 23, 2018 4:19 pm

I am using an ATEM 4ME, with 2 BMD Studio Camera 4k's, recorded to a HypderDeck 12G UHD 60fps. All is ok.

I now need to color correct before grading. I have an XRite ColorChecker Passport video. So I bring my .mxf file into Davinci Resolve, select Color Chart, select the chart in the frame, go to Color Match... now I need to select a Source Gamma.

How do I know what my source gamma is? Is that something that is built into the camera, the recorder, the encoding, the atem software or something else?
