Upgrade to Mac High Sierra - CUDA error

PostWed May 23, 2018 5:03 pm

When I upgraded to High Sierra, I now get an error on upstart.

It tells me: CUDA DRIVER Version 396.64

Update required.

and: no newer Cuda driver available.

I contacted Apple support and they told me it's not part of Apple's software set, but came from DaVinci Resolve.

I did not have this problem under Sierra and researched on compatibility issues, and nothing came up, and now I have this showing at every start.

How can I fix this problem?

Nobody has experienced this?

I'm on a 2012 MacBook Pro retina, and it has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics card.

On May 17th there was a Cuda update, but the error message my Cuda driver is not up to date is not there.

I contacted Apple and they insist Cuda is nothing by them, but it comes from software, likely from DaVinci Resolve.

Why is there, after the latest update, still the "out of date" error popping up after each start?

Try selecting to “OpenCL” in the GPU setting in Resolve preferences

CUDA comes from Nvidia and they'd normally fix that sooner or later. Use OpenCL until then.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.
