Go Pro Hero 6 CAN'T hear AUDIO in Resolve free version

PostWed May 23, 2018 6:00 pm

Guys, I'm searching forums and spoke to GO PRO and BlackMagic Tech Support and wondering if anyone has experienced the same.

When I import GP Hero 6 clips the audio does not play. Video plays, audio Wave from is not visible.
Test Audio on GP and I can hear perfectly.
Played on computer player and plays perfectly.
Settings on GP are 1080p 120 fps.

BlackMagic tested footage and said:

I tested the clip you sent us.

While I don't see the audio waveform visually, I do hear audio in Resolve.

I've attached a screenshot demonstrating the audio meters bouncing during playback.

I tested this in DaVinci Resolve 15 beta 3.

What is the sample rate of the audio? It needs to be 48khz or Resolve will not play it. Also is your soundcard set to 48khz? This is not a limiting factor in the free version.
