Resolve Capture External Sound Card

PostFri May 25, 2018 2:27 pm

Win 7 // BlackMagic Decklink Studio 2 // Da Vinci Resolve 14 and 15.3

I have been experimenting with capturing analogue video and I have had some problems capturing analogue XLR audio via my blackmagic Decklink (noisy audio) I am trying to capture instead using my Focusrite Scarlett audio interface, but while I can record audio in with the fairlight, I can't seem to find a setting to use that audio card while capturing, does anybody know of a way to select this?

Thanks Stuart

This may or may not work as we don’t test on any windows version other than w10.

Do you know if it works in Windows 10?

Sorry, i miss read the original post.

The 'Capture' in Resolve only accepts DeckLink and UltraStudio audio, where as recording on Fairlight tracks supports third party devices.

So i can understand better, so you want to capture an analog input as a file and not 'record' to a fairlight tracks?

Yes, I'd like to capture audio through the Focusrite instead of the decklink and still capture video using the decklink. I just can't seem to get satisfactory results through the decklink's audio input.
