Lost audio in .m2ts files after Windows 1803 update

PostSat May 26, 2018 1:13 pm

I seem to have lost audio in .m2ts files after Windows 1803 update.

The audio is gone in both DaVinci Resolve 14 as well as the 15 beta I just installed that also had the same issue.

The files came from my Sony CX405 and CX900 video cameras.

WAV audio files recorded on my iPhone 5c with ZOOM HandyRecorder app as well as .MOV video files from my Fujifilm FinePix XP120 play audio and I can hear them fine.

It's the audio in the .m2ts video files that are silent.

I may try undoing the Windows 1803 update to see if that works but I wondered if there was any other known problem and fix.

Thanks

Try to back out of the update.

Other NLEs like Vegas Pro also had this problem, but they solved it already.

I hope, BMD also can solve it with the next DR15 Beta.

Thanks
