Hello Everyone,

Solved - Dwaine Maggart

(add this to n /Library/Preferences/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve, open the config.dat file in TextEdit and add this at the bottom of the file:

Local.GPU.Mode = OpenCL

Recently bought a replacement Mac early 2009 after my existing one died. The replacement has two Nvidia GT120 cards in it. Cuda drivers GPU Driver Version: 310.90.10.05b54 (trying to unistall these drivers because it says it doesn't support the card). Side note: If someone knows how to unistall the drivers your help will be appreciated

I installed Resolve 15 Beta 4, everything was running fine then I decided to try the metal setting with auto (I have two GT120 in the system). I restarted the system and now Resolve boots-up with start screen then crashes. So I uninstalled and re-installed 5 times. nothing changed.

Downloaded beta version 3. Same issue. So then I figured it was something with the beta, so I downloaded ver Resolve 14 and it to crashes on start-up.

Can anyone tell me what is happening and how I can fix it?

Thank you in advance,
Robert

Those GPUs are really outdated, you need something better. Even if you may be able to start when set to OpenCL, it will be no joy working with it.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.
