Trim edit mode and transitions

PostThu Jun 14, 2018 1:03 am

Hello, I'm using the Trim edit mode a lot and mainly I use the cross dissolve transition. My problem is, that when triming the end or the begining of the clip, the next clip is also visible in preview, making it really hard to see what I'm trimming. Is there a way to not show the transition while doing this?

Try holding shift before selecting the trim point.

Hmm, holding shift just disables the preview altogether. I would still like to see what I'm trimming, I just don't want to see the next/previous clip mixed in the preview.

Hello,

I'd be interested to know how to do this as well.
If I am trimming over a clip which fades in from black, all I see on both monitors are black.
Yes, the head of the clip is black, but it would be helpful if the fade was disabled while trimming over it.
This happens by default in Avid and Premiere.

Thanks.

Any option with this one?
I am currently in DRS17 but this is annoying when trimming, I can't see a damn thing of my clips in & out points when transitions are blocking my view when trimming & literally you can't see anything either while using dip to color dissolve which is BLACK.
Please we want to see what we are trimming BMD & that is the CLIP not the transition.

When I Trim in 17.1 I get a two up view of both clips sans transitions.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
