Hi I currently have an 8 core Intel i7 5960X (overclocked on water to 4.4GHz) 64gb ram a 1 TB SSD and 48TB raid. 3x 12gb TITAN X GPU's (also water cooled)
I run Resolve Pro on this and my 12 core Mac Pro. I am about to upgrade and was going to get the 16 core AMD threadripper 1950X. but AMD have announced they will be releasing a 32 core threadripper CPU in August 2018
Now my question is, will Resolve make use of all these cores or plan to in the future or would I be wasting money on extra CPU cores that would be unused, when I could spend in other areas.
My new build is for Resolve and Fusion only. I edit 10 bit 4K from GH5's, and a Ninja Inferno.
