Multiple rendering of MediaOut nodes?

It's currently possible to have multiple MediaOut nodes in a Fusion composite.
I couldn't find a reference in the manual as to how these are implemented? For example, is it possible to render all the nodes to separate files (back to the mediapool for example)? If so, where are the filenames etc specified?
