eGPU Support of 2*5k +1*4k display

PostMon Jul 16, 2018 4:32 pm

Firstly, sorry for posting this here, this forum was linked relating to using the eGPU for creative work and it's the closest I can get to a proper forum for this.

Does anybody know how many displays the new eGPU can support? I would love to use this to add some capability to my MacBook in a more apple designed way. I am thinking of using two of the thunderbolt 3 daisy chained 5k monitors with a large 4k tv connected via hdmi above. Would this be supported, possibly even with the new 13" MBP with Touch Bar?

Displaying on that many monitors should work fine. That's something AMD GPUs have always done well, even when the Radeon group was a separate company.

At least you won't have to worry about the GPU in BMD's chassis burning out due to overheating, since BMD made the chassis and not Apple. ;)
