Dead Pixel Fixer Target moves with Output scaling enabled

PostWed Jul 18, 2018 12:28 am

In Davinci 14.3.0.014, the Dead Pixel Fixer will not work as intended if Output Scaling is enabled in the Image Scaling Preferences.

For example a 2048x858 timeline being viewed on a 1920x1080 monitor with HD scaling applied, clicking the target over the dead pixel does nothing. Once scaling is set to "match timeline", the pixel can be fixed with the target as it becomes obvious that the target is in the wrong position. After fixing, if output scaling is reset to HD, the Fixer target moves away from the pixel, but the pixel stays fixed. If the node is bypassed as a check, the pixel pops back to visible, but not where the target is. Sometimes it's lower, sometimes it's higher depending on the source resolution of the clip. Seems like a UI issue.

Hope this is fixed in DR 15.

Thanks.
