I have added a bunch of 4K H264 24fps footage and generated optimized media.
It immediately plays it back smoothly with the optimized media on < no problem there, and no problem with my hardware setup.
At a certain point though (after a session and reboot or restart of Resolve) it seems to stop recognizing optimized media and playback drops back down to terrible (8-14 fps)
I try rediscovering optimized media, even generating optimized media for the offending clip. < unsuccessful
The only way I have managed to restore playback is to delete the entire optimized media cache and regenerate optimized media, after which playback is buttery smooth.
Obviously, this is not feasible as an ongoing solution.
Has anyone experienced this and knows a workaround.
